Groups visiting Zoo Atlanta will enjoy seeing animals from the African Rainforest to the Australian Outback, and will also have the option of visiting the giant panda exhibit. Tickets are no longer required to view the giant pandas. Groups may visit the exhibit during normal Zoo hours, however, groups will be allowed in the area on a space available basis.
To enhance your experience at the giant panda exhibit, please note the following:
- The exhibit is less crowded in the fall & winter or on Mondays & Tuesdays throughout the year. Also many groups leave by 1 PM on weekday afternoons. Visiting during these times will minimize your wait time to get into the exhibit and maximize your viewing opportunities while inside.
- Due to animal needs, we cannot guarantee the pandas will be viewable at the time of your visit.
- If you have an education program booked on your field trip day, we suggest visiting the giant panda exhibit afterwards. If you must visit the exhibit beforehand, please allow extra time in your schedule to make sure you will be on time for your program. Programs are often scheduled back to back and instructors may not be able accommodate late groups.
