Thanks to generous donations, Zoo Atlanta is excited to offer a limited number of deserving schools Self-Guided Field Trips for their students at no cost. From The Ford African Rainforest to Outback Station, students will enjoy an informative, educational and engaging experience at Zoo Atlanta.
Application Process
If you are interested in applying for the Sponsored Admission Program, please read the following guidelines carefully and fill out the application completely.
- The number of schools accepted into the Sponsored Admission Program is based on necessity and availability of funds. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
- Applications are not accepted for entire schools. Rather, one application is submitted per class or individual school group visiting the Zoo on the same day. All other interested persons within the school must apply separately to be considered for the program.
- Each application must have one main contact person and one alternate contact person.
- All parts of the application must be completed to qualify for the Sponsored Admission Program.

- If you have trouble downloading the application, contact Education Reservations at 404.624.WILD.
- Please allow 2 to 3 weeks to receive a response to your application.
- If accepted into the program, the contact(s) listed on the application will be notified.
- Following acceptance, recipients must make all registration arrangements with a customer care representative at 404.624.WILD.
- If accepted into the program, reservations for Sponsored Admission recipients will be available from January 2009– April 2009 on Mondays, Tuesdays for Wednesdays only during regular Zoo business hours. Recipients are encouraged to consider dates in January, February and March, as availability decreases in April.
- All registration/cancellation policies and procedures apply. A customer care representative can review the registration/cancellation policies and procedures with you when you call to make your reservation.
- The Sponsored Admission Program covers the cost of admission only and covers students named in the reservation and 1 teacher/chaperone per 10 students. Each additional teacher/chaperone is required to pay the field trip admission price ($8).
- The school is responsible for any other costs related to the field trip, including but not limited to, transportation to and from the Zoo, lunch for the students and in-park activities.
