Programs Topics and Dates

For each topic below, children will engage in activities designed for their specific age group. Younger campers will be observing animal, their behaviors and habitats while playing age- appropriate games and activities. Older campers will also learn about real-life conservation issues and how they can help animals from around the world. They will develop problem-solving techniques through gathering information and experimentation.

  • Wet and Wild
Immerse yourself in the fascinating and important lives of wetland animals: fantastic frogs, amazing amphibians, colorful reptiles and more. Have fun exploring water wonders and making items you can use in your own backyard.
  • ZSI-Atlanta
Zoo Atlanta will be filled with intrigue as you and your fellow campers become Zoo Scene Investigators, following clues to solve important cases about animals here at the Zoo. As wildlife detectives, you will examine bones, fur, scales and more to solve animal mysteries and secrets of the Zoo.
  • Take a Walk on the Weird Side
Explore the wonders of the weird. Get ready to check out squirmy, wiggly, gooey and sometimes icky animals and their habitats. Examine owl pellets, identify animals by their tracks, and meet mole rats, warthogs, lizards and other odd creatures that call Zoo Atlanta home.
