Mommy and Me (ages 2-3 years)

This exciting, hands-on program allows you and your child to explore different concepts about animals through three classroom sessions. Sessions run once a week for 3 weeks on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday and feature a monthly topic designed to teach children about animals. All topics and activities are designed specifically for the developmental needs of 2 and 3 year olds.

Each session includes:

• a guided walk through part of the Zoo to see animals
• an up-close encounter with an education animal
• play-time at discovery stations featuring crafts, storytime, and other great activities

Topics (Each topic is 3 consecutive sessions-no single dates available)

• July - Safari Africa - Elephants, lions, gorillas, and more. Go on a wild African safari to learn all about the animals that call Africa home.
  
  
• August - Backyard Georgia - What animals live in your backyard? From mammals to reptiles, encounter different animals that call Georgia home.
  
  
• September - Animal Outsides - Fur, feathers, and scales galore. Encounter animals with different body coverings and determine how their outsides help them survive.
