Up-to-date traffic information

Starting Saturday April 12 (weather permitting), a portion of the I-75, I-85 Downtown Connector corridor will be resurfaced. The project will affect 4.79 miles between University Avenue and 10th Street, including both the northbound and southbound lanes of the Connector. Lane closures will be limited mostly to weekends, starting at 9 p.m. on Fridays and continuing through 5 a.m. on Mondays.

Spend more time at the Zoo and less time in the car! Consider these convenient travel alternatives.

SOUTHBOUND, FROM I-75 AND I-85

I-75 Take I-285 West to I-20 East. Take Exit 59A (Boulevard/Zoo Atlanta). Turn RIGHT at the exit, onto Boulevard, RIGHT on Atlanta Ave. RIGHT on Cherokee Ave; Cherokee Ave parking lot is on the right.

I-85 Take I-285 East to I-20 West. Take Exit 59 A (Boulevard/Zoo Atlanta). Turn LEFT at the exit onto Boulevard, PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ABOVE.

NORTHBOUND, FROM I-85 AND I-75

Exit I-20 East. Take Exit 59 A (Boulevard/Zoo Atlanta). Turn RIGHT at the exit onto Boulevard, PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ABOVE.

or

Take Exit 246 (Fulton Street) and drive east on Fulton Street. Turn right at Capitol Avenue. Follow Capitol to first light, turn left on Georgia Avenue. Georgia Avenue ends at the Cherokee Avenue lot.

FROM MIDTOWN OR DOWNTOWN ATLANTA

Bus service is available to Zoo Atlanta from the Five Points MARTA station via Route #97 and from the King Memorial MARTA Station
via route #197.
