Following the birth of giant panda Lun Lun's cub, interest in viewing both mother and cub overwhelmed the initial Panda Cam infrastructure established by Zoo Atlanta. To their credit, CNN agreed to temporarily host panda cam. This arrangement allowed our panda watchers to keep tabs on the cub during its critical first few weeks. It also served as a stop gap solution to allow Zoo Atlanta some flexibility in working to identify a long-term sponsor.

Earthlink, a current sponsor of Zoo Atlanta, recently agreed to help make Panda Cam possible for the thousands interested in viewing it. To that end, Zoo Atlanta staff evaluated the peak usage times of Panda Cam and recommended that viewing be provided Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These are the same hours which were in place prior to the cub's birth.
