New to gardening or concerned that your green thumb has wilted? Don’t despair! Zoo experts will be on hand for free planting tips and great advice on building and maintaining your own botanical collection.

Don’t leave the Zoo Plant Sale without a mix of pure energy for tired roots and plants – pick up a box of Pachy Poo™ premium soil enhancement! Pachy Poo by Natural Growth, Inc. is 100% natural compost made from manure produced by Zoo Atlanta’s own African elephants. The Zoo composts more than 10,000 pounds of elephant waste a week, and the result is an odorless organic product that can be mixed with existing soil or added as nutrient-rich topsoil.

The annual Zoo Plant Sale will take place at the C-5 gate of the Cherokee Avenue parking lot, Saturday, May 2, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit Zoo Atlanta’s Horticulture program.
